Battery powered lawn mowers are a great way to get more out of your existing power tool batteries and have less maintenance than some of the other power options. Brands like Makita and DEWALT offer battery powered lawn mowers that use the same 18v, 20v, 36v, 40v, and 60v systems as your power tools. With a battery powered cordless lawn mower, you’ll just need to make sure you are using a battery that is on the high Ah capacity which would be in the +5 Ah range. Many of the cordless lawn mowers are also sold as “kits” and come with the necessary batteries needed to run and get the job done. Corded lawn mowers are also another great option if you don’t have a lot of lawn to cut and have a power source to plug into. Gas lawn mowers are great if you have to take care of a large space. If you do choose the gas lawn mower, just make sure you get the proper fuel mixture when running and store properly as the fuel can go bad.
