I spent an hour or two reading the manual and assembliing the saw. There were a few things that weren't totally clear to me regarding storage of accessorie. I searched around on the web and found the answer's easily althought I'm still not sure where the blade guard is stored..

Glad I bought it and think it's a good portable product for the money.

    Great general purpose shop saw
Received this saw as a Father's Day gift a couple years ago. It's been a staple in my shop. I've found it a handy saw for reno work on the house. It's done everything I need with great accuracy for finish work. Forgiving for long rips when getting new lumber to match the old, odd sized lumber used to build the house. I'm moving to cabinet work now. It's not quite big enough for full panel (8') cuts. Had to make a couple sliding jigs on some work horses. Can't afford or have space for a full sized shop saw with panel rig! Still accurate though. Cuts softwood and hardwood well. Blade changes are straight forward.
Down side is the mitre guide. I've built a jig for 45* cuts. Need to buy an aftermarket mitre guide now. I appreciate all the add-ons with on tool storage. Overall, it is accurate, handy, stores small, portable but stable enough for all cuts.

Motor works like a champ; haven't had any slowdowns whatsoever. If buying this for rough construction projects where being off by 1/128th of an inch isn't a big deal, this is the saw for you.

For people obsessed with 'perfect' cuts, however, it could use some tuning. Both my blade and fence came pretty poorly aligned, and required some extensive setup to get to that 1/128th of an inch precision. Aligning the blade is a pain, almost impossible to make incremental adjustments, and the fence does have noticeable shift even when locked down. This is a jobsite saw though, so those are minor complaints overall.

All in all though, I'm happy with the purchase. For your first table saw, this would be a great choice.

It is astonishing to me that other brands have not copied this fence design. It is SOOOOO easy and sooooo accurate. I have had cheaper table saws, and I have seen more expensive saws (such as the Bosch model within the same price range (about $100 more, actually. But how it is that this type of fence is not an industry standard is baffling to me. I have, within the past year switched over to all DEWALT power tools.

I have always used dewalt table saws. They are always dependable and we'll thought out. My only complaint is they don't put those thoughts in the manual. The manual doesn't describe were all the storage compartments for the attachments. Instead I'm stuck trying to find a video on Google. I highly recommend the saw and highly recommend DeWalt read their manuals and make better sense of them.

I am a homeowner that takes on some big projects like decks and my own additions and renos from time to time. This seems to be a good saw for its intended purpose. It is not cabinet saw quality but handles ripping of 1 to 1-1/2 inch lumber easily. It is very stable, has enough power and most loose parts/accessories store on the saw. It rolls easily and takes up little space when collapsed.

The fence works very smooth but I don't think it will stand up to commercial use. If you drop it - its toast! Build a better one DeWalt. It should'nt be stored on the top of the saw when transporting or storing and the geared strips it slides on could bend very easy if banged around. The rack and pinion at both ends of the fence makes for a quick adjustments but needs more robust construction. I haven't quite figured out how the fence stores on the saw. The instruction manual is terrible and creates more questions than answers. The mitre gauge is flimsy and low to me but I don't use it very much.

The riving knife is something I hadn't seen on a table saw before. The first time I used it for ripping it kept the work piece in line perfectly and a second push stick or feather board was not needed to keep the work against the fence.

I haven't ripped plywood yet but the stand appears it can be very stable. I prefer to use a straight edge and my Dewalt "skil" saw to break down the big sheets then use the table saw for further cutting. Often I don't have a helper handy.

As a jobsite table saw this does the job just fine, but for a more permanent solution it will fall a bit short. The blade is not perfectly perpendicular to the table, the left rail is .760 while the right rail is .750, making it hard to make jigs for it. The side notches make it difficult to attach extension wings (home made at least). Other than that the table runs fine, there is also a known issue when lowering the blade from the highest point, it gets stuck around 3/4 down. I'd say it's a bit overpriced for what it does.

Bought this saw after using one a friend had. Doing work at his house installing flooring and jamb extensions. Decided after years of using a circular saw and or running back to shop to use the shop saw it was time to make the jump to thhis unit. works well so far.

So, I've seen where people say you can't use a Dado stack with this, yet it's specs at 13/16th max. Can a Dado set be used or not?
    Tom G on Mar 21, 2017
Can you cut a sheet of plywood directly in half? I see rip capacity of 22 inches seems to me you would need 24. But I'm a landscaper trying to do some around the house jobs like building a shed and possibly a garage.
    Lawrence F on May 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it has an extended range up to 32 inches, once you move the fence to the 2nd mounting position. It's pretty easy, no tools necessary and you can move the fence back to position 1 when done.
What is the folded dimension size? I need to make space in my garage to squeeze it in.

can you use a dado blade on this Tablesaw??
    ja g on Feb 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes. This saw will accept a dado blade but does not include the required throat plate. You will have to purchase separate or make your own.
What is the flip over fence ???
    Mac M on Jun 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The back of the fence is movable and will actually flip over to the fence side and allow for a material rest for rips that are wider than the actual table. It will also adjust to rest on the saw table so that small rips can be made while still using the guard. Hopefully this helps.

What's the distance between the front edge of the table and the front tip of the saw?
    phineas on Mar 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If your talking about the front edge of the saw and the measurement to the front of the fence it is 2 1/2" when the fence is on. 3 1/4" from the table to the knob that guides the fence. Hopefully that answers your question.

    New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
    • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
    • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
    • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
