Great power in a small foot print
I bought this for a replacement that was as old at dirt. I should have bought it way sooner instead of waiting

Works great!
I bought this small router two years ago, and have zero problems. Works great for softwoods or laminates. I most commonly use for adding detail to small projects like picture frames, but have also used it as a trim router for household furniture like nightstands, coffee tables, etc.... great trim router for the money and works great!! Highly recommend!!

Does the Job
I've heard people complain about the plastic parts. And it's true, this isn't the most versatile router. Having said that, I only use it to perform one task and it does the job. Small radius round over bits on wood edges, and that's it. So why not just get a REAL decent router? Because I don't care to keep resetting or changing out bits when I'm building. This is just for trim and I like it that way.

Piece of junk
Thought we would give this router a try instead of our old standard porter cable laminate trimmers. Big mistake. You really have to be careful buying routers these days. The base on this thing cracked the second time it was adjusted and locked down. Locking lever was not over tightened. The base is just cheap thin junky plastic. Expected better from dewalt. I miss metal parts on tools.
