Great tool organization
I have been using this backpack for about 2 months now. It is great for being able to store the majority of my hvac tools, wire nuts, meters etc on hand for each job. I did not have any of zipper problems that others reported. The only issue I do have is if I put tools that are fairly heavy in the back section the backpack becomes unbalanced and falls forward. I believe if the back section had some kind of support to make it stand up straighter that would be an improvement.

Great Bag, Terrible Zippers
I’m an electrical foreman that needs to be on the go a lot. Let me start by saying I LOVED this bag and use many Dewalt products. The velcrow side pockets, the layers of tool compartments, plenty of space for all of my tools, and even the light bailed me out a couple of times. My tools never fell out of my bag and were always in a specific spot. This glee ended when BOTH of the zippers breaking from simple everyday use in less than a month. I regretfully can not recommend this product.

Not sure if this is legit, logo is upside down...
I bought this yesterday on Amazon. I am a mobile vet, and use an EMT bag. It is very bulky and hard to fit through narrow halls and doorways, so I decided to give this rugged backpack a try. First, it is very heavy, empty. Second, its pockets are too small diameter-wise to fit vials of injectable meds. Everything else fit pretty well. I like the exterior pockets, and am looking forward to using the light feature in dimly lit homes, or procedures outdoors. I hope the zippers don't suck as much as everyone else's review says they do. I might go for the tool BAG next time. Upside down logo makes my bag easy to identify... :/

Great for organization but could use upgrades
I am a very loyal dewalt customer. Have countless dewalt power tools, accessories and other gear. Wanted to keep things in the family and get the dewalt bag. From my research the dewalt pockets in the backpack suited my needs a little better than the Klein backpack. I am very satisfied with the pocket layout and haven’t had any issues with the zippers other than them being a little hard to start once opened but no big deal. I will add I do not use this backpack for everyday use so the other reviews from field techs may be more accurate for everyday use. Now.... why on earth wouldn’t dewalt put a hard plastic bottom on this backpack???!!!!!! When I was using a tool bag everyday, it had a hard bottom and often I had to put the bag in wet ground or other undesirable surfaces. And that bag lasted many, many years. I also wish dewalt would take a page from the tactical/ military world and utilize molle webbing on the outside of the bag. The possibilities would be endless. Dewalt could even produce different size and shape “add on” pouches for small items, meters etc. I really wish someone at dewalt would listen more to the consumers ideas. I even tried to call and told them I would be happy to talk over some of these ideas but no call ever. I think they are missing the boat a little bit. Overall good backpack but would love to see the improvements implemented.

Needs a new zipper design
The zipper broke after 6 months. Cost to much for the zipper to break that quick.

I really like the bag, but...
It held all the tools I needed it to. I do plumbing work from ground work to rough in to trim. It’s sweet being able to put my back pack on and hand cart the material in while all the other guys are picking through the side boxes of their trucks to pick out what they need and juggle all the stuff in.*** Ok, the but...part, my strap and handle ripped off right at the seams, not quite sure of the max weight but I got 30 lbs in my bag (weighed in on the bathroom scale also the zipper on the front pouch always separates on me and I’m having to unzip and zip back up. I was really happy with it until that happened.

Do this bag have room to carry extension cord and power drill including all your tools?
bak on Aug 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It depends on your tools that you have but I have mine stuffed full with probably 60 lbs of tools I would imagine that it would fit all of that though, yes. This has been the handiest purchase I have made. I am an industrial insulator so it gets its use without a doubt
