Great power
Purchased 3 years ago, came with 3.0Ah battery. I've used it 6 or 8 times a year, always stored it in a heated shop with charged battery. First year, I could get about 45 minutes per charge, second year about half an hour, now in the third year I'm down to about 18-19 minutes. At this rate, it will be useless next year, and at almost $300.00 for the battery, the whole trimmer will be a throw away.

The trimmer is good but plan on replacing the head multiple times a season
The spool head on this trimmer is terrible. The plastic is too thin and wears out quickly. I used this to trim 4 times and it's unbalanced and not working well. Other reviews out there mention this and it is an issue. It's the only option in the 60v line and when you have a new spool head it works well.

Great product, durable, and tough string
Great product with plenty of power and long lasting battery. The Dewalt string is very tough.

Exceeded my expectations
I was skeptical about a battery powered trimmer, but I’m so glad I took the chance! Talk about a game changer. No more mixing gas and pull starting, just squeeze the trigger and go! its way lighter too. A lot more power than I was expecting from a battery. I have a large yard and a lot of stuff to trim around, and can still go about 3 weeks without charging.

Has been a good tool.
Trimmer has been good through summer for my use. I live in a subdivision and don't have a huge yard so this tool is great for that kind of setup. Probably wouldn't recommend this one for big property use and knocking down a lot thick/tall grass. Figuring out how to reload the string was very frustrating at first since manuals and videos were unclear but once you figure it out it is easy. Overall have been satisfied with the trimmer.

Excellent run time
I bought my string trimmer to replace a hard to start gas trimmer. I have used it 4-5 times to trim around my fenced in yard and trees and I haven't had to charge it yet.

two flaws
First of all I do love my trimmer, BUT what does need improvement is the guard, it's simply not big enough, I have to wear a total face guard to operate and stuff flys and has cut me several times, I bought something similar to what you wear cutting wood. You also have to wear pants and gloves are suggested. 2nd flaw is the line is very hard to wind, I wish it had
