Battery totally doesn't last.
The saw part of this seems fine. The power is fine. The battery just doesn't last. I was shocked when the saw suddenly just stopped.. I checked the battery power and it was down below 50%. I have to assume the saw stopped automatically because of this. I was ripping a 6ft long board into slim strips. 3/4 inch pine. Shocking. To make this saw work for me, I'm going to have to go and buy at least two more batteries. Swap them out as they go dead, then when I'm done, later, re-charge them all. Only get this saw if you -really- need the portability. Otherwise, not worth it.

Great table saw
I was quite skeptical how a battery powered table saw would perform on my job site, but I must say I was surprised. The battery lasted for the cuts I need to make. I don't think this saw would be a good option if you expect to make cuts constantly all day long. I'm making on average 25 cuts a day and it fits my needs. I would have liked to have seen this saw have the option for both corded and battery power. I also would have preferred that two batteries be included for the price point. Overall I would recommend the saw, just make sure you understand how it will perform relative to your needs.

Great saw for jobsite all of the settings were accurate out of the box. Enough power to rip 2x4 and plywood. Fence worked outstanding for a small table saw liked the flip over fence for supporting thin material. Only problem with saw is the cross cut slot is to big for angle gauge not a big deal because use chop saw for angles could do away with slot.

The saw came sandwiched between two molded pieces of styrofoam and has a fairly decent sized desiccant bag to help prevent moisture during storage and shipping. Everything was well-protected and well packaged and was very easy to unpack.
The saw itself is compact and all the attachments that it comes with can be stored on board. The fence attaches to the rip scale by using one set of three different locator pins, one set to the left of the blade, and two sets to the right. When not in use, the fence can be removed and place under the saw using the locator pins on the left to secure it in place, instead of being affixed to the top of the table, or removed and stored next to the saw, only to be misplaced. This is a plus in my book. An included push stick can be stored on the fence itself, but if not being used, is out of the way. The miter gauge can be stored under the unit when not in use.
Two wrenches are included to swap out the blade and can be affixed to the unit in the back, where they are out of the way as well. The anti-kickback assembly comes preassembled and can be stored on the right side of the unit when not in use. Swapping the anti-kickback assemble with the included non-thru sawing riving knife is simple. Remove the throat plate, raise the saw blade, loosen the riving knife knob at least three turns and push it in, remove the riving knife and replace with the anti-kickback assembly.
The table saw can be mounted to a portable stand (not-included, or it can be mounted to rigid, stable surface using the four holes that are pre-drilled in the metal frame.
Using the saw is a dream. It is much quieter than my corded saw and much easier to adjust. When the saw is turned off after using, the blade stops within a second – nice safety feature!

This is one great saw. I have used it for a month now and i love it. Goes all day on a 9ah battery. Plenty of power for everything that i have used it for. The fence system is second to none. Goes great with my flexvolt 12 sliding compound miter saw. It is awesome to not trip over cords. Great job Dewalt.

They thought of everything!!!!
I have been using this saw for a few weeks now and I have been really impressed. They have really put some time in engineering this saw. The way the guard locks in and adjust is so nice, no more worries about the guard being crooked. If you have a narrow rip the fence folds down to make room for you fingers. Battery time and power is good and everything stores nicely on the saw. Only downside is they should make a conversion to cord battery like the (other brand has) but not a big deal because you are buying this for portablility anyway.

Quality table saw
I was very impressed with the quality of this battery operated saw .. but was surprised to see it wasn't a plug in charger as well knowing dewalt is good at pulling all the stops .. the run time is very good .. and all the accessories store on the saw its self so there are no way they can be lost (which is a big deal) it would be nice in the future model to maybe have a option to have it also double as a snap on router table seeing as it would second very nice as a router table :) thanks for your inavation and hard work dewalt .. five stars hands down !!! And I'm not one to give five stars often !

Quiet, Powerful and Easy to Transport
As soon as I received the saw I unboxed it and looked over its design. The first thing I checked was where dust would settle when cutting. I was happy to see that the area around the motor was covered thus eliminating dust from settling underneath the saw (see pic. Setup was simple and intuitive. There is an integrated handle for easy transport along with storage for the blade guard, push stick and miter gauge. I checked the blade for square and it was surprisingly dead on! I have been using this saw for over a week and am still impressed with the features. I was happy to see that it has a dust port in the back behind the motor and on the blade guard. I hooked both ports up to my dust collection system in my shop did some test cuts. My takeaways were the dust collection was outstanding. The fence is easy to adjust, blade beveling and height adjustment is pain free. This saw is much quieter than my DW744, which has been my work horse for years! I like the safety switch set up and the ease of turning the saw off with just a bump from my hand. To that end the blade stops almost immediately! Very impressive! The only con is the the miter gauge. When compared to the gauge from my DW744 it feels flimsy and difficult to square. But keep in mind this is a contractor saw so I did not expect a cabinet saw grade miter gauge. Battery life is great and the motor is strong though depending on daily usage you will want 2 batteries. I normally change out the blade when I purchase a new saw but the included DeWalt blade is fantastic such that I even purchased the 36 tooth DeWalt blade for cleaner cuts on finish materials. Overall, I am extremely happy with this FlexVolt saw and it has now become my workhorse in the shop and on site.

Easy setup and use! The battery life is excellent!
I was so impressed by this saw right out out of the box. The saw a well build, rugged, and easy to setup. The designers even created storage spaces for each of the saw accessories. This way you always know where everything is. Great!!!
I put the saw right to work building a partition wall. The saw performed great and has the power to cut through any of the lumber I needed to cut. The battery fits nicely into the saw and is well protected. The battery life is superb as it was still going strong after several hours of use. The blade adjustment is smooth and precise. I even made several 45' cuts with ease. This is a well designed saw and I wish had gotten one sooner. This is will be my go to saw for all future projects!!! I highly recommend you get one for your workshop or job site as you will not be disappointed!!!

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
