Works as expected
Works great on regular lumber. Struggles with rough cut oak. Nails jam a lot when using on oak.

Great tool, avoid knots if able to
Bought this after using the companies dcn692, I didn't want the same exact tool. Works great, until you try to drive into a knot. Not sure if it's a design flaw or if it just doesn't have the requisite power.

Great nailer
I do renovation work for living, and I have the air nailer and the battry powered nail gun. The battery powered one is the only one I use now its 100% quicker to setup. I dont have to lug my big compressor around or wait for air to fill up. Pop in a battery and boom your good to go. The air powered one is a little stronger but I havent had any issues with nails sticking out on the battery powered one besides maybe few times.

Jams constantly
I bought this gun for small jobs and punch work on new construction. The feed chute jams whenever there is a break in the nail strips as in having a second clip in. The next clip nail head pops up and catches on the frame. It also will jam at the nose with a bent nail that has to be pried out. Of all things that should be basic by now, these two are unexpected.

Still needs some work
Size, weight, and functionality were great. However, this gun is useless when shooting into old growth framing materials. I ultimately returned the gun after trying to frame a bathroom in a 200 year old historic renovation project. The gun was useless trying to shoot into the old dougfur framing. I can definitely see it’s uses, but it wasn’t worth the space it took up in my truck.

Love it
Great purchase, only reason for the 4 star is the fact that every once in awhile a nail doesn't go all the deep enough. Maybe 1 out of 100 so really cant complain. Other than that I love it.

Great Gun But Dewalt needs to make a hard case
I originally bought the 30 degree gun (actually had 2 of them) and they kept jamming. I think the high degree of angle is a problem. Returned it and got this 21 degree gun instead and havent had a single jam. Great tool. BUT!........ DeWalt are you listening? You need to offer a hard case for this gun. Every other DeWalt tool I have lives in a nice hard case and this gun does not fit into a Tstak or tough system case unless I stuff it into the extra deep tough system case with tons of other stuff. Not what I want to do. Give us a hard case for this gun!
