Very durable
I purchased this a few years ago and use it just about every day it is amazing how much power and torque it has for all the bigger it is. The only problem I’ve had was the spring inside the bit holder it was a simple fix, I was putting in 6 and a half inch screws.

Great Driver
Great addition to my drill-driver tools. Love the way this driver runs a screw into hardwood
with very little effort. I use my impact driver for running in screws more than any of my other drivers.

Great Tool
I am 72 years old and have had many drills through the years. I have 1 corded and 6 battery powered drill now. The Dewalt 20volt Impact Driver is without a doubt the best drill that I have ever had. It is my go-to drill for most any task where a drill is needed.

Dewalt Impact Driver
I bought this jewel in 2017. The best tool I have ever owned. Light weight and powerful. I can use it, put in away and a month later it is still charged. Unlike my previous drivers.
Great for screws or lag bolts. Love it so much, I bought the drill driver, recip saw, circular saw, jig saw and the whole stak system!
I am always telling friends and neighbors to get these tools.

what difference does brushless make?
BEST ANSWER: Brushless motors offer several advantages over brushed motors thanks to the design. Much of it has to do with the loss of brushes and commutator. Since the brush is required to be in contact with the commutator to deliver a charge, it also causes friction. Friction reduces the speed that can be achieved along with building up heat. It’s like riding your bike with the brake lightly applied. Given the same amount of effort from your legs, you’ll be slower. Conversely, if you want to maintain the speed, it will take more energy from your legs. You’ll also heat up your rims from the frictional heat. This means that brushless motors run cooler and more efficiently so they’re able to deliver more power.
The carbon brushes wear down over time. It’s what causes a spark inside some tools. In order to keep the tool running, the brushes have to be replaced once in a while. Brushless motors don’t require that maintenance.
While brushless motors requires an electronic controller, the rotor/stator combination is more compact. That leads to the opportunity for lighter weight and more compact size.
