Very convenient size and weight
Got this in a package with a tool. It is really too small for this saw but I love it on my other tools for smaller jobs. Great for the ovulating, drill or impact. I have many batteries and chargers so this worked out for me because I could readily substitute.

Great Battery
Need extra power without the heavy bulk of a 4 or 5AH battery? This is it! Great battery.

Run time
I have used multiple platforms when it comes to cordless tools and Dewalt is by far the quickest charging and longest running batteries that I have used. I will use my drill driver for hours and when I pop it on the charger it charges in minutes.

Cordless Benefits and Drawbacks
Received as a birthday gift December, 2018 for my 20V MAX Reciprocating Saw. Battery is slim and protected nicely by its case. It also has a charge indicator (1, 2, or 3 bars that helps to know if I need to charge it or not. The charger itself is very simple to use. Just plug in the 2-prong cord to an outlet and slide the battery pack on until it clicks into place. Charges in a reasonable amount of time considering it is a 3 Ah pack - charger output is 2A, so a full charge will roughly take 1.5 hours (simple math: 2A for 1 hour is 2 Ah, plus 2A for 0.5 hours is 1Ah). It got me through a day's work on a simple closet remodel, but I recommend at least two batteries so you aren't stuck waiting 1.5 hours for it to charge. The cost seems high at first, but I am in hobby RC and Li-Po chargers run $100+ while 1Ah batteries run $30. You get this package for a less!

Benefits:
- Slim, rugged, ultra-portable, easy to use, and good value.

Drawbacks:
- Low power after charge drops, charge time could be shorter

Still 5 stars because this is what should be expected with this technology.

Needs charged only after a couple uses
i bought it a couple months ago because the 20v 2ah batteries that came with combo kit wouldn't push the circular saw or recipical saw, very weak. But the 3ah is just as bad

Much smaller 3 AH battery
i really like the new and improved 3 amp hour batteries. I bought a combo kit a few years ago and it included the old 3 amp hour batteries which are the same size as my new 5 AH batteries. These ones are the same same size as my old 1.5 AH ones. the base is a bit wider than the 1.5 AH but it is seemingly just as short. The performance seems equal to my old battery as well so i'm a fan.
