Very difficult to release lock lever!
Once you lock the tape in place it is very difficult to unlock.

This measuring tape is durable and easy to read; it makes the job easy. It has been dropped multiple times and only minor damage. Great product

A little bulky though. I wish it had more of a stand out

It just as good as tape measurers half the cost.
My first one retracted so hard that ripped the end off, my second one, the heavy duty blade coating started peeling and then cracked crossways on the blade, my 3rd one is going to be my last try, the coatings peeling off already. Independent Contractor, build shops and barns, this tape last a job and a half and is out for the count.

Bad tape lock
Felt rugged and comfortable, tape lock clunky and hard to use. It eventually broke because it would not release. It sounded like it was breaking plastic every time I used it. Every single one i picked up in home depot did this. Stanley fatmax is a better option.

Very strong well built .. bit annoying to use
Great tape very strong and has to be as the base of the case is rounded so it falls over when marking out. to solve i used some metal neadit to fix so thats not very very good design right there, other than that it seams to be a good tape it is heavy and bulky but thats the trade off for strength and blade stand out.

Worst tape I've ever bought... and the most $$
Unfortunately it looks like DeWalt decided stop putting the giant hook on their regular grade tapes and make you fork over more money for this premium unit. Unfortunately the design of the premium tape measure won't even stand up if you have it out measuring something. Why would you put a rounted bottom on 3/4 of the entire bottom? There is litterally only 1/2" of flat on the very heel of the tape measure. I can't believe this was overlooked. The tape will literally fall over every time I have it set down measuring something. Now I need to find out how to get my money back since I threw away the packaging at a job site.
