Just bought the saw and it works better than I could imagine. Downside was after about the 50th cut with it the blade snapped right at the attachment point. About 10 cut shy of finishing the project. Like everyone else said I've searched high and low online and can't find a replacement blade. Sucks to have to buy another one to finish my project. I want to keep using the saw cuz it works wonderfully but I don't want to end up with a few dozen handles because there's no source for replacement blades. Probably going to search for a different brand so that I know I have options for blade replacement.
I bought this on Wednesday to do some projects this weekend.
Cut well last night and this morning. After lunch the blade broke right at the attachment point. I certainly could have been at fault, however, I wasn't cutting anything hard or cutting fast, so that is a stretch.
You can't buy additional blades and for that reason I would not buy this tool. Definitely not worth paying for a another handle every time you need a sharper blade (or it breaks).
Great flush cut hand saw!! This has fast become my favorite little saw for any kind of flush cut or tight space sawing.
The only downside, but still give it 5 stars, is the blade eventually gives up the ghost. I've looked far and wide for replacement blades, even here on the DeWalt website, but can't find them anywhere. Seeing that a brand new handle and blade are reasonably priced I can't knock off any stars, just wish they would offer a replacement blade before I end up with a toolbox full of handles. ;
I bought this saw at home depot and figured if I needed a replacement blade I would be able to get it at the same store. I have not been able to locate one anywhere. Not even on line. I will not buy another one and I would not recommend it either. These types of saws should have replacement blades easily available like hacksaws and coping saws.
Nice saw works well only issue is cant find any reference to a replacement blade for it so it seems its a one shot type of thing if you break or bend the blade you just have to buy another one, which is strange cause the blade is removable by a large screw that holds it in place.
The Dewalt flush cut saw worked perfect. If I were to judge on performance alone I would give it 5 stars. The tool is comfortable in my hands. The cut was surprisingly smooth. The only concern I have is after only a dozen dowels I noticed teeth missing and it seems these blades are not easy to come by.
I can't imagine why the blade is not available for this saw. It is easily removed from the handle and there is NO reason that I should have to buy a complete saw. DeWalt is a better company than this. Mario Catani
