Powerful, compact, clumsy.
I use this for the impossible to reach spots inside boats I work on. It has plenty of power to run hole saws, drive screws, drill, etc. The grip trigger can be difficult to control. The reversing switch is not easy to flip one handed.

This drill has problems!
I have had this drill for a bout six months. The guarded chuck is a pain. You can only move it about 3 teeth at a time. Try going from an 1/8" drill to a 3/8" drill. It's a pain. The power switch sticks on. I have tried a little air. still sticks. I tried some light silicone spray. Still sticks. When you are driving self drilling screws in tight places this does not work good at all. My Dremel tool removed the pain in the butt chuck guard. That helps but I am sure it kills any hopes of warranty work.

Worked as featured
I used this drill as soon as I got it. It can be used for all drilling needs and has plenty of power. The shrouded chuck is a bit cumbersome to use but I understand why they did it, to protect material when in close. But be aware, the chuck key only fits into a few places on the drill chuck because of the shroud around it. Otherwise great product like all my Dewalt tools and at reconditioned pricing!

Handy tool
The chuck guard need's to be improved. The areas where you use the chuck key to tighten the chuck are open where fingers can be caught while using the drill. Something like a slip-over cover, after tightening, might be one way to provide the safety needed. Also, the paddle handle is too long - it impeeds good safe gripping area to hold the drill while working with it.

Very pleased with this product.
I use it to get in spaces that I can't with my cordless. I am an HVAC / Plumbing contractor and there are many spaces where I need this drill.
