Details

DEWALT delivers outstanding performance with the launch of the world's first gas-free, dual-speed, cordless framing nailer. The new DCN692B 20V MAX Cordless Lithium-Ion Framing Nailer joins DEWALT's line of 20V MAX cordless power tools with extended runtime (XR) technology and provides a gas-free option for users eliminating the need for costly gas canisters. The DCN692B requires minimal maintenance, and works in cold weather where gas cartridges fail. The framing nailer requires no user-applied lubrication and is engineered with a high-efficiency brushless motor for superior durability. DEWALT's brushless motor paired with the XR 20V MAX 4.0 Ah lithium-ion battery pack allows driving up to 700 nails per charge, making it ideal for heavy duty carpentry and framing professionals, such as general builders, remodelers, and installers of decks and fencing.
Features:
  • Engineered with a high-efficiency brushless motor for superior durability
  • Dual-speed settings optimized for different nail lengths to match speed and power to drive nails consistently similar to a pneumatic nailer
  • Drives up to 700 nails per charge on a fully-charged 20V MAX Lithium-Ion 4.0 Ah battery pack
  • Can be used with 30 to 34 degree clipped and round-offset head, paper tape collated nails from a variety of brands
  • Indicator lights that warn the user of a low-battery or stall, with a stall release lever that allows the user to reset the driver blade caused by a stall or jammed nail
  • Sequential and bump-fire driving modes for user preference
  • Nail depth adjustment control for maximum control with varying materials
  • Requires no user-applied lubrication of any kind
Includes:
  • 20V MAX Brushless Cordless Lithium-Ion Framing Nailer (Bare Tool) - DCN692B

I use this multiple times per week, mostly to repair pallets for shipping. Works awesome. I use mostly 2.625" nails (or roughly that size). Sometimes use 3" nails. Gun drives them in just fine. On the hardest wood, it won't drive the 3" nail all the way though, but on normal hardness it does. This tool is a huge time saver. I can't do without it.

Cons
Not Durable
Lack of Power
Nice paperweight
The worst nailer I have ever tried to use! It will not sink nails fully no matter the size or style of nails. It has been to Dewalt service twice and it still won’t fully sink the nails. I bought another paslode I don’t have the time or patience to keep trying something that doesn’t work or service is to incompetent to repair correctly. All of my cordless tool are Dewalt and so too are my saws but I will not recommend this tool to anyone ever!

Convenient for on the job!!
Cordless feature is awesome for on the job sites. Very helpful to not have to deal with cords especially for when I have to do like roofing and framing and all the different angles that I am in at any given moment to get the job done.

Super buy for a DIY!
Have only used the nailer once so far...putting up a new partial fence and repairing an old one. Went through approx. 600 nails (a combination of 2 and 3 inch ring shanks) with no power or battery issues. The depth adjustment, while working in the #1 setting, worked smoothly and quickly. Since this was a bare nailer, and I already had several batteries, I used my 5 amp hour battery rather than a 4 amp hour that comes with Dewalt's package deal. Had one jam, which was not the nailer's fault (nail on top of hidden nail in the old fence), and it cleared easily. Surprisingly, the combined weight of the nailer, battery, and nail load was not an issue. Because of the ergonomics it seemed much lighter than it really was. I only used the sequential mode, so can't comment on the contact mode. Looking forward to more projects in the future!

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
