Just as good as Festool, w/o the snoot factor
I've owned this for at least 8 years. it works just as well as the Festool, and the increments are in good Ole English. no Metric to trip up us Gen X'ers.

Great addition to your shop
It takes a minute to get it dialed in (cutting 90 degrees and zero play on track, but once your set up is done it makes reliable cuts. I’ve found it most useful when doing large cross cuts on thing like tables tops and it works great. Dust collection is acceptable. Noise is lower than expected. Build quality is good. Additionally, the track clamps are useful on any other t-track setups you may have in your shop.

DeWalt track saw
Love this saw. The one thing I can’t get over is the speed of delivery and ease of ordering. When I went to order this saw no one had it in stock, except CPO. I was hesitant to order but am very very happy I did! I ordered on Thursday eve and it showed up on Saturday!
Can’t say enough, awesome service. Will order again in a heartbeat

Good saw but tracks are hit and miss
Good saw and overall system. Both tracks were not 100% true. While the 59" had less than a 1/32 bow at the worst point (about mid point) the 108" track had a 1/16 deflection at about 57" from one end. The crated box it came in was dropped hard; one corner was missing the mdf altogether (about a 1"X1" triangle).
Dewalt customer service is shipping me replacements, but it takes them 14 days to get them to my door.

Long Track Problems
The saw does not ride properly on the long track. It is as if the middle rail were higher the ne slot in the saw and , consequently, the saw wobbles. I have used the saw once with the short rai, but can't use it with the long rail. I took the rail to the service center and the were going to get me a new one. Now, apparently, they cannot get them. They must be having a problem with them-why else would they be out of stock? This has been going on for three weeks and still no results. Based on my present situation, I could not recommend this product. I have had occasions to use a Festool track saw. Their tracks and overall quality are far superior.

Works Great
The saw and tracks came promptly and well-packaged and were easy to setup. I did not worry about cutting the last 2 " or so of rubber on the tracks as it is not really needed anyhow. I agree with others that a center guide would be helpful. However, the tracks are long enough for 48" material while keeping both guides on the track. I have not used the longer one yet, but do not foresee any problems cutting 8' material. This is much quicker for cutting sheets than the old way of measuring for the straight edge position and then scoring the plywood along the cut line and finally making the cut. With the track saw simply position the edge on the cut line and make the cut as there is very minimal tear out.

Nice saw
i really like this saw. I somewhat limited shop space so this was a great alternative to cutting sheet goods on a table saw. Comfortable to use. Very clean edges. For the money it was worth it. The 102 inch track came packaged nicely, though it is a bit of a pain to store. Blades are pretty spendy.

How does this compare to the Festool track saw?
chuck on May 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have a DeWalt track saw and before I purchased it I had looked at Festool's track saw. If you are making a living doing carpentry maybe the Festool saw is for you. The DeWalt is a cheaper alternative and I have no complaints about it's accuracy or performance. I have built a houseful of cabinets with better accuracy than using a table saw.
How do. You secure the track? When cutting plywood
Thomas 1790 on Apr 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The track doesn't slip around, so often people will put light pressure and cut without clamping it down. Alternatively, there are clamps that can be purchased to work with the track. They slip into a channel on the underside of the track and hold it firmly to what you are cutting. They do work great and I recommend purchasing a pair when you invest in the track saw.
Will the saw be able to rip 2 inch wood
Frank on Aug 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes. I just ripped hard maple that was
2". I think the cutting depth at 90* is 2 1/4"-2 1/8".

Does this include an integrated riving knife?
Gregory on Dec 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this tool comes with an integrated riving knife.
Can the saw/track be calibrated for a perfect 90 degree edge?
chuck on May 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, the Dewalt track saw will max out at a 47 degree bevel.
Can you combine the two tracks to total 160+ inch capability?
Dave S on Jul 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can with the connector kit (which is not included), but it will be rather difficult to handle the combined track. These tracks are flimsier than they look in the photo and bend through if not supported.
Right & left handed saws ?
A shopper on Jan 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The track accommodates the Dewalt track saw which has the blade on the right side of the saw and track. Right or left handed user would make no difference in operation. This is my second Dewalt track saw and it is a great tool, especially if you buy the Dewalt router and track adapter.
