Folding Retractable knife
The retractable knife blade is very sturdy and has a firm grip that allows you to do more cuts without easily breaking the knife when putting tension when cutting into hard surfaces. The blade storage is very easy and accessible but only holds 3 blades, and you don't have to unscrew any screws or disassembled the knife to switch out blades. I also liked the pocket clip that makes it easy to carry the blade on the outside of your pockets instead of trying to dig out the blade from your pocket.

Very Nice Design and and comes with a great grip
You asked me to test this little beauty out and I did. Sheet Rock is not my favorite material to work with but this cutter did the dirty extremly well. Fits the hand well and gives clean straight cuts and no twisting. A little on the heavy side to use all day but the weight adds to the stablity of the cuts. Nice the way it folds up to fit into pants pockets. I like and shall use with pleasure. Thanks

Great product. Dependable.
The knife feels solid and has a good locking mechanism. I'm not worried about it closing on me when in use. The blades are easy to replace with the slide button release system. I use it for cutting out old caulk, cutting drywall, scribing, freeing painted baseboars, etc.

Quality knife
I got this knife a few days ago I am impressed by the weight and the balance of the knife. There are a couple of things that I did feel a little uncomfortable with. #1 the way I had to handle the blade to be able to load the knife. It was not a smooth insertion and has the potential for getting cut. #2 on the underside where you have to push the clip to fold the knife the clip is the bottom of where the extra blades are stored. Overall it fits the hand well and is of good quality.

Quality Knife
Received the utility knife a few days ago and finally got the chances to use it today. Very comfortable in the hand cutting up cardboards. Only minor complaint is that after a long time of cutting (about 10 minutes) the knife gets kinda heavy. Overall great utility knife.

Poor Blade Retainer
From the minute I removed the knife out of the package, the blade did not want to stay in the retainer. Even worse, whenever I attempted a quick-flip open, the blade would go sailing. I opened the knife and attempted to see if something was broke or assembled incorrectly, but could not find anything wrong. A knife that doesnt open safely with a sharp blade is worthless. After trying to work with this thing for a week, i gave up and threw it away. One more strike against DeWalt.

Reliable. Strong. Safe.
Using to cut cardboard boxes daily for 4 weeks. I also have a Sheffield folder and a Stanley box cutter. The Dewalt is easily the best utility knife I've ever owned.

Where are the 3xtra blades stored?
Matthew R on May 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I had to look for them also. The blades are located in the body that the front end folds into. To get at them you need to push up the top piece that has the rubber on it from the back. The blades will be located toward the back.
Does the utility knife have blade storage?
