Rubber Stoppers, leaves marking on the floor
It is very nice machine. However, the rubber stoppers, leave oil like markings on the cement floor, that I could not clean with soap and water.

Over all I am pleased and happy I bought this saw and not others I was looking at. My only complaint about this saw is the miter slots in the table. The coating is not evenly applied and it had some very high spots in it that i had to sand down. The miter gauge that comes with the unit fits very sloppy in the might slot so it will not give you an accurate miter cut so as far as I'm concerned for my use it is useless and I am going to have to make a cross cut sled so I can get accurate miter cuts.

My wife and I recently finished a “flip project.” How I could have really used this saw then. After using a different saw for several years, it was such a pleasure to use a fine quality saw such as the 7480.
First major project was cutting dados into wood stock. No stack, just running the the pieces through the blade several times. The rack and pinion fence adjustment is incredible. Double checked the measurement, always on the mark.
For a compact saw, so much common sense was used in the design of the tool. I am so glad I got one.
    Thank you, Santa!!!

The only issue I've encountered is the feather board/angle gauge slot doesn't lock the accessory(ies) in the groove. This causes the feather board/angle gauge to lift out of the groove when feeding a board through the blade with two hands. I have to clamp the accessory into the table top groove. Aside, I am very happy with this saw.

I owned 3 dewalt job site saws in the last 12 years. The latest being this model, previous ones being the 745 model. Having tried many of your competitors models, I can say these saws are by far much more reliable and provide plenty of power for ripping and breaking down lumber and plywood. I’ve even used the saw on a fine cabinetry project.

There are some cons though. I’ve noticed through the years, the table casting is less and less accurate than the previous models. My latest saw has some really uneven flatness and the miter guage slot of fat from even, narrow from the lips/edge. Also I’ve had to replace the on off switch to my previous two saws due the failure/burn out. Luckily that was an easy job to remedy.

I think if you guys spend a tad more money to Cnc profile the table top and slots, it would make this Saw perfect for virtually perfect for any tradesman/carpenter. Just my two cents.

Nonetheless, thanks for making these great saws.

I bought this table saw 3 years ago to start building furniture as a side gig. I have ripped plenty of 4x8 sheet goods up to 1" thick, 12' lengths of 8/4 maple, and even some smaller more precise work. This saw, with the help of an outfeed table, has been able to handle everything I have thrown at it with accuracy. I typically have a fine finish blade mounted and even still there is power to spare when cutting hardwoods. No this saw can and will not keep up with a large cabinet saw or fit stacked dados but I don't need it to. The best part is once I am done using it I can collapse the wheeled Dewalt stand I purchased separately and move it out the way. My 2" shop vac hose fits the dust port perfectly and does a pretty good job of collecting all the sawdust.

I think out of all the features the rack and pinion fence is the most notable. Extremely easy to use and make small adjustments between cuts when needed.

Would absolutely recommend it to someone who is looking for a powerful, accurate, and portable saw.

It doesn’t feel shaky like other ones. It’s lighweight compared to others which is good for me because I’m always moving between job sites. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a realiable table saw.

    New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
    • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
    • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
    • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
