I bought this table saw 3 years ago to start building furniture as a side gig. I have ripped plenty of 4x8 sheet goods up to 1" thick, 12' lengths of 8/4 maple, and even some smaller more precise work. This saw, with the help of an outfeed table, has been able to handle everything I have thrown at it with accuracy. I typically have a fine finish blade mounted and even still there is power to spare when cutting hardwoods. No this saw can and will not keep up with a large cabinet saw or fit stacked dados but I don't need it to. The best part is once I am done using it I can collapse the wheeled Dewalt stand I purchased separately and move it out the way. My 2" shop vac hose fits the dust port perfectly and does a pretty good job of collecting all the sawdust.

I think out of all the features the rack and pinion fence is the most notable. Extremely easy to use and make small adjustments between cuts when needed.

Would absolutely recommend it to someone who is looking for a powerful, accurate, and portable saw.

I've been using portable table saws my entire career as a carpenter, and have never been really happy with any of them. They were too small, no power, wouldn't hold up under regular use and mostly I hated the fences because they all just locked in one place and if they would get bumped then they lost their square.

This Dewalt is great! Large working table, plenty of power, rack and pinion fence system! And it helps support your marital with their fence flip down support. I've been using mine for years now and it's still straight and square. I tell everyone about this saw! Great saw! Exactly what I needed!

    Impressive quality for the money.
Great saw! Light weight and easy to use. Powerful motor and in my opinion as good as a Delta contractor saw.

    Awesome Worksaw!
I have a large 10" General International saw in my shop but needed a smaller worksite saw. Did research and the Dewalt DWE7480 seemed rather impressive. After some touchy feely browsing in various stores, I decided to buy one from Lowe's on a great deal. It is better than expected! Bought the Dewalt stand also which was another great idea! Just finished using the saw for some trim related ripping and it was great! Now can't wait for the next project! Oh yes...I endorse this saw!

    New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
    • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
    • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
    • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
