No clutch
I bought this drill to use primarily with a 2 5/8 hole saw. The drill does not have a clutch and if it does it has never activated for me. Both myself and my colleagues have smashed their knuckles really badly. I am a huge dewalt fan and own a pile of their XR tools, but this drill is aweful.

The title says that this stool has the e-clutch, but if you look at the actual description, it doesn't. I had a customer who bought this because they thought it had the e-clutch, and ended up getting injured because it didn't.

Solid
Solid, powerful performer. While I've been using it for weekend build-out of a basement, it certainly feels as though it would stand up to day-to-day usage

Product power and features as advertised.
Used with tenon cutter and drove the cutter without hesitation. My old drill bogged down.

Awesome Drill
This is a great and strong drill. The E-clutch is sweet and prevents the tool from flinging around and breaking your wrist in case of a bind while using hole saws or boring.

Will this drill stop immediately when the trigger is released or does it slowly decrease in speed?

Thanks,

BEST ANSWER: While the dewndwd220 has a clutch, it does not have a brake. So the rpm will stop quickly, but not immediately
