Awesome little Vac
Originally I had hoped to find the corded/cordless version of this Vac, but nobody had it locally. Picked up the cordless version and put it to hard use vacuuming up chunks of dry thin-set and dust from a tiling job I'm doing.

Overall preformed very well, I'd love to get a much bigger battery, the 20volt 4ah does a pretty decent job, but I'd think one of the big FlexVolt batteries would perform better and longer.

Can't wait to use in in my car and my tiny work shop that doesn't have electrical outlets.

This product does not have any suction power and cannot do heavy duty jobs. I think I got a lemon.

Get the version that can be plugged in as well
I'm not sure why they make this version, when they have one that can be plugged into an AC outlet or run off of battery power. I didn't look at the details before purchasing, as this was the only version sold at my local Lowes, and having owned the original 18v nicad version (that could be plugged in) I just assumed this vacuum had an AC cord as well. I was disappointed when I got home and discovered I should have read the box completely. Other comments:

Love being able to power it with tower style packs or slide in packs
Great use of the handle as storage for the crevis attachment
Increased suction (using same pack) vs my old dewalt 18V vacuum

Since it has no AC cord, can't charge a pack with it (didn’t check corded version)
Exhaust port poorly located (has blown ambient sawdust in my face a few times)
Louder than expected (thought it would be quieter than previous models, but doesn’t seem to be, although I didn’t actually measure decibels)
Uses proprietary DEWALT filter instead of a standard size shop-vac filter

The reason I would not recommend this vacuum is because I would recommend the version that can be powered off AC or battery.

Exceeded my expectations
I flip homes and as the houses are on the market they mysteriously collect dirt, dust and insect stuff . I bought this to take to these homes to vacuum this stuff on a weekly basis . Its nice to not have to look for a plug in every corner. Another feature I like is the batteries, if I don't have another 20v available I can pop in one of my 18s and I'm up and running again. I'v had this for several months now, I'v used it a lot and love it.

Great maneuverability
I just purchased this mostly for detailing and I love it. Picked up all the debris and dirt from the carpet just like any corded vac. I personally bought the larger batteries to use and I’d recommend that to anyone looking at it because the batttery lasted me about 30-40 minutes. Only con is that the exauhst is on the same side of the hose so you have to be careful where you point it.

Use this almost everyday
I use this vacuum on every job. I only have two complaints:
1) The exhaust port is on the same side as the suction, so I have to cross draw the hose over the vacuum so the exhaust doesn't blow into my dust pile. Or aim the exhaust away from your work. The hose is only so long, so when trying to maximize the length will point the exhaust to the debris pile.
2) I don't like the rounded corners, 4 times the vacuum has fell off my utility cart and rolled.

Nicely Integrated and Contained, Well-built
I was drawn to this little vac for it's portability and how well made it is. I really like the fact that the long and narrow attachment is integrated into the handle, that is a really smart design. This vacuum is perfect for what I need it for. It should not be purchased as a (Primary shop vacuum as it is designed to be portable - hence the option for 120V or 18-20V batteries. This thing works great for small jobs. Also, the bottom has a really neat little reservoir that holds debris and it is very easy to dump. This thing is awesome for what it is!

I purchased this item to use on my pontoon boat. I can carry it on board without extension cords and lugging the 5 gal unit around. At times, I leave it on the boat and remove the battery to charge it.

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
