Details

The 60V MAX 7-1/4 in. Framing Saw with 9.0 Ah battery offers big runtime. The blade is oriented to the left of the motor and the handle is at the rear to optimize line of sight when cutting. An electronic brake helps stop the blade after the trigger is released. Bevel capacity is 53 degrees with stops at 45 degrees and 22.5 degrees. The saw makes smooth, accurate cuts and delivers long runtime with a durable, high-grade magnesium shoe and an efficient brushless motor.
Similar to worm drive saws, this Framing Saw cuts to a depth of 2-7/16 in. at 90 degrees. The included rafter hook makes it convenient to hang the tool on the jobsite. It's ideal for wood cutting applications such as oriented strand board (OSB), plywood, hardwoods, dimensional lumber, and flooring. Professional framers, concrete formers, carpenters, and general contractors can boost their productivity with this tool.
Available where DEWALT products are sold in fall 2017, all DEWALT high powered cordless tools will come standard with a 3-year limited warranty, 1-year free service contract and 90-day money-back guarantee.

Awesome Saw
I'm a professional framer for starters, I've been framing houses for 20 years now. I was very interested when I first heard about this saw, so whenit came out I bought one. This saw had plenty of power, It has more power than my corded side winder saws. I love the fact that it spits all wood shavings out the side discharge for a clear cutting line. Fantastic. I like that fast adjust for cutting 22.5 deg and 45 deg miters. I also like the fast adjust for blade depth. This saw had so much power I'm in awe of it. Two things that I do not like, first is the safety, the push button needs to be a 1/8th" longer out each side to easily pouch it in with the side of your finger when engaging the trigger, I've learned to manage, but I'd change it if I could. Second is the guard lever, is far too short to grab easily, but again I'm managing. I still give this saw 5 stars and would recommend it. I've cut 3 days on a 9 ah battery, very impressive.

I got this for a truss job We're doing as it seemed to be easier than running cords through all the trusses for power, This thing has more power and cuts far easier than my corded circular saw. The only drawback to it has to be the weight. The fact the blade is on the opposite side of what I am used to also adds a bit of a learning curve to it

Is the small details that make it or break it
As all the other reviewer highlight this saw is a beast and can cut thru anything I have tested so far, but...
The bag that is provided with the kit is too small, it is the same bag provided with the DCS575B which is much smaller saw compared to this one. You can only fit the saw with the battery installed in the saw and is still cramped in the bag which creates a safety hazard. You don't this thing to run while stored ore even worst, while on the back seat of your truck. Also since the bag is not large enough you can not fit an extra battery inside of it, and forget about taking the charger to a job site. I have to say it is a very good saw but Dewalt should have not cut corners on a saw that sells for $400 and should gave supplied one large enough to carry all necessary components to the job site, like they did with the 60V reciprocating saw.

This thing is a monster
I use it to cut thru a 2 inch wide 36 in long butcher block made out of teak, and it just ate right thru it like butter.

Good but far from great.
This is a good saw. Not a great one. It has tons of power. But with that you get a ton of weight. Additionally the battery life was surprisingly short. It lasted about 4 hours while I was building rafters for a shed. If I could return it. I would. For the price it is just not good of a portable saw. You really need 2 batteries for it to be an effective tool to get you through the day, but that is very expensive.

I had an old 36 volt dewalt portable saw that was much better. But dewalt does not make the batteries for it any more.

This is a heck of a circular saw
I was attracted to this saw because I had watched videos of it in action and everyone points out how you can hear the power. Indeed, this has incredible power for a cordless circular saw, and the features are fantastic. This is a great addition to the DeWalt lineup!

"Wow", that was all I could say for the first 15 minutes I used it! I've been a carpenter for nearly 30 years and I have never seen that kind of power out of a handheld saw, much less a cordless one. The saw is a bit heavy, but not much more than my skil 77, and cuts twice as fast. I can't wait to outfit it with a new Freud Diablo and see how she rips then. The front sights are dead on accurate and the saw just has an awesome, sturdy feel to it. You do get a little blowback from sawdust, or chips in this case, like you would with any left blade/worm drive saw, but it's nothing a good pair of safety glasses won't fix (you should be wearing them anyway). The only thing I didn't love is the thumb safety switch, but all cordless saws now have, which I don't understand. A+ DeWalt!

Probably 30-40% more power than their first Flexvolt saw and you feel it. This version is worm drive style with a rafter hook, blade brake, safety start, metal blade guard and the blade on the left hand side. I still have an extension cord and skill saw on the truck but know I don’t need them anymore. This kit came with a fast charger and one 9 amp hour battery.

I bought this tool expecting a tool that is heavy and fault in energy. Once bought i this saw it was the complete contrary. The energy to cut 2x4 up to 4x4s is splendid no struggle in making cuts whatsoever. The saw has been equipped with so many safety features such as the automatic braking system. This feature has the standout blessing of saving one from accidentally cutting themseleves and/or others. The tool also has the automatic locking mechanism that does not allow the saw trigger to function without pressing down the lock. This saw has done plentyful and gets your job done the power is outstanding works as well as a skill saw. To own one of these is to have your tool speak for your experience in your A.O.

A Great Saw!
I have used the saw only 2 times, but it is incredible. It is easier to control than my other saws and has the power of a corded saw. I would highly recommend the Flexvolt saw!

Some of the reviews talk about the saw being heavy. What is the weight of the saw with the battery installed?
Hendy on Jul 6, 2018
What is the bevel capacity? It appears to be incorrectly stated at 90 degrees.
Guest on Jul 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The maximum bevel on mine is 45 degrees. The 90 must be a misprint.
