Works great!
I bought this for a drywall job because i got tired of cutting out boxes with a blade. With the depth gauge it works great and even without the depth gauge you can really use it to free hand and cut out whatever is needed. Made the job much quicker and easier. It did NOT eat up batteries like i had thought it would and worked well with both 2 and 4ah batteries. I would buy again if i ever had too.

Pro Drywaller here.
Love the lightweight and tool handle very well.
Cost around 115$ in canada so i got 3 of them because they often fail.
I recommend using a 5 amp battery with it instead of the 2 amps one.
would love some sort of belt attachment, i managed to make one with a tie wrap.
The no tools bit changer rarely works, i use a small wrench.

gets the job done
This tool is exactly what I expected it to be before I purchased it. It's very reliable and works well to cut out boxes for electrical work and rough openings for doors and windows.

DeWalt Quality
When it came time to renovate my basement, I knew I would need to update my old DeWalt 18v tools.

My wife gave me clearance to buy every tool I would need. I’ve always been a fan of DeWalt, so it was an easy choice. I loaded up on DeWalt 20v tools.

This tool makes cutting out drywall for can lights, outlets and switches as easy as can be.

Be sure to wear eye protection because it will get dusty.

If you are reading this, just buy it. You will not regret it.

I’ve had this thing for about 3 years I think, and I love it! So handy to grab for a little cutout job and lots of power.

Good idea
The product has some good idea features but I wish they did them better. For the money I would like to see XR brushless. Also the light position could be better. The tool free design is clunky and my father in law has a horrible time trying to figure it out. All in all the product is great and works as expected, this is a pro product but it just seems built more for a diy guy. Which for me is perfect because I do construction work here and there for friends and family. This thing has a bunch of niche uses and I really like it.

BEST ANSWER: Model DCS551B does not have any 5/32 collet. It will be too big for the Cut-out tool.
