Product Overview

DEWALT delivers outstanding performance with the launch of the world's first gas-free, dual-speed, cordless framing nailer. The new DCN692M1 20V MAX Cordless Lithium-Ion Framing Nailer joins DEWALT's line of 20V MAX cordless power tools with extended runtime (XR) technology and provides a gas-free option for users eliminating the need for costly gas canisters. The DCN692M1 requires minimal maintenance, and works in cold weather where gas cartridges fail. The framing nailer requires no user-applied lubrication and is engineered with a high-efficiency brushless motor for superior durability. DEWALT's brushless motor paired with the XR 20V MAX 4.0 Ah lithium-ion battery pack allows driving up to 700 nails per charge, making it ideal for heavy duty carpentry and framing professionals, such as general builders, remodelers, and installers of decks and fencing.
  • Engineered with a high-efficiency brushless motor for superior durability

  • Dual-speed settings optimized for different nail lengths to match speed and power to drive nails consistently similar to a pneumatic nailer

Great gun/ cheesy bag
I've had this gun for a few months now, no complaints as to how it works. Nice to be able to use it in some remote places without having to drag a compressor around.Gun works great, my only complaint is the cheesy bag it comes in... why no hard case to protect my nice nailgun??

Great product
This product deserves a 5 star if it wouldn’t have been for the hook. Been using this nail gun for a a couple months, over 10,000 nails fired from it! Awesome product. Main problem - when I have had it hooked to my pouch I had my nail gun fall from different altitudes (20/10/5ft due to slippery/bending PLASTIC hook, (to my surprise it still worked) but for an expensive product that hook needs an upgrade!!!

Not Working For Me
Got nailer about a week ago and getting ready to send back. Purchased nailer to built front deck and doesn’t drive nails thru treated lumber and constantly jams after ONE NAIL. Purchased nails (3 1/4” according to nail specifications in user manual. Worked well with the first few nails but when it got down to the last 4-5 nails then the jamming started. Put in new set of nails an started jamming after trying to drive one nail. Nail one jam, nail one jam, nail one jam........I give up. Very disappointed with this product. Would not recommend based on my experience.

Lose the HOSE
after some rigorous testing its nice to have a nail gun minus the hose that actually drives a nail into your wood though on single nail you need to let it wind up before shooting on multi nail just start nailing as fast as you can.
Most of the time I ran on high setting to drive into my heavier lumber using long nails but on low was more then enough to drive my smaller length nails into soft wood.
The swivel belt hook is nice as you can hang from any direction.
It is a little heavy to use after a while but well worth the trade off not tripping over hoses laying all over.
Very sweet product and have already gotten a second for my son to use as going hoseless is a nice thing.

Surprising in a number of ways
First, this nailer was much heavier than I expected. It's bigger and heavier than my DeWalt air-powered nailer. I guess that's to be expected since this is fully-contained and the battery alone adds quite a bit of weight.

I was surprised at how well this would sink nails. Also surprised that it would fire in pretty rapid succession one after another.

I used this on a project out away from the house -- that's where it's value really comes to light. No need to try to string electric to the job or have an air compressor hooked up. When you are remote from power or air, and you need a nailer, this is a great solution. It gets the job done!

Adjustment on how deep the nails are set is effective, simple, and seems to hold pretty true across the life of a battery.

I was going to give this 4 stars because it's so heavy, but that would be like complaining that a sledge hammer is heavy. It's a nailer that contains its own power-plant and power source. Overall very well designed and built.

20 Volt Framing Nailer 30 degree Collated Nails
I have used this on one project so far. It worked fine with 2 3/8" galvanized nails. I thought it would work with 28 degree nails but it did not drive those nails in fully. I do have other nailers that adapt to various degree of collated nails. This is a disadvantage of this gun to not adapt to various degrees of collated nails. The weight is a bit heavy but the compactness of it made it easy to work in the conditions in which I used it. I would recommend this nailer to other remodelers. I did a test on a scrap piece of concrete substrate siding. The nail drove through but shattered the piece so this application would not be appropriate.

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
