Product Overview

Details

DEWALT delivers outstanding performance with the launch of the world's first gas-free, dual-speed, cordless framing nailer. The new DCN692B 20V MAX Cordless Lithium-Ion Framing Nailer joins DEWALT's line of 20V MAX cordless power tools with extended runtime (XR) technology and provides a gas-free option for users eliminating the need for costly gas canisters. The DCN692B requires minimal maintenance, and works in cold weather where gas cartridges fail. The framing nailer requires no user-applied lubrication and is engineered with a high-efficiency brushless motor for superior durability. DEWALT's brushless motor paired with the XR 20V MAX 4.0 Ah lithium-ion battery pack allows driving up to 700 nails per charge, making it ideal for heavy duty carpentry and framing professionals, such as general builders, remodelers, and installers of decks and fencing.
Features:
  • Engineered with a high-efficiency brushless motor for superior durability
  • Dual-speed settings optimized for different nail lengths to match speed and power to drive nails consistently similar to a pneumatic nailer
  • Drives up to 700 nails per charge on a fully-charged 20V MAX Lithium-Ion 4.0 Ah battery pack
  • Can be used with 30 to 34 degree clipped and round-offset head, paper tape collated nails from a variety of brands
  • Indicator lights that warn the user of a low-battery or stall, with a stall release lever that allows the user to reset the driver blade caused by a stall or jammed nail
  • Sequential and bump-fire driving modes for user preference
  • Nail depth adjustment control for maximum control with varying materials
  • Requires no user-applied lubrication of any kind
Includes:
  • 20V MAX Brushless Cordless Lithium-Ion Framing Nailer (Tool Only) - DCN692B

Great gun, saves so much time.
Like the idea of not pounding with a hammer anymore, the gun gets nails in tight places & get the job done quick. Drives 3 " nails with no problem. Even for small jobs I would not be without it. Love it.

Love it. Bump fire is great for framing walls. Hook is ok. It’s a little heavy but worth not dragging a hose around. 8d nails jamb when it’s hot. It’s the nails not the gun.

Lack of power
Purchased it to replace my non working paslode framer.
Received it and I pull it out of the box install 5 amp battery.
Fired a 10d nail in a 2x4 SPF board and results that it would not drive flush switch the to 2 speed and got same results.
Adjust nose to its lowest position and got the same results.
I try everything to get it to drive through the day and I fail.
I call and got a RTA and returned it. Now looks like I’m going to purchase the new paslode framer. I’m a big fan of Dewalt’s and have and used just about all battery operated tools.
Big disappointment. I hope they can improve it.

Great Nailer until now!
Purchased the framing nailer about a year ago and haven't had any issues with it when the batteries are fully charged to start with. Use it on an almost daily basis with no issues until now with it jamming and not able to clear the jam. It's going in for service which with the amount of usage it probably needs anyways. Still very pleased with the gun other than the weight of it! Little cumbersome to be carrying on a belt when doing rough framing.
I have several other of the DeWalt battery guns and have nothing but good things to say about them to other contractors that I deal with.

Great product with longevity!
I bought this product about one year ago and still one of the best purchases I have ever made. I've framed whole basements off of 2 60v batteries, and that's no lie. At first it seemed it wouldn't make the cut and I thought it was going to be a for sure return, but I was wrong. Once the spring became wore in, it became more powerful than expected. I've also done siding all day without having to change a 60v battery but once. If it gets jambed it's the easiest system to retrieve the nail out of the firing mechanism. With just two hex screws to loosen, the spring will automatically retract. I recommend this product for anyone out in the bare lands with no power near or for you everyday framer, this product is a beast!

Works great
I use this multiple times per week, mostly to repair pallets for shipping. Works awesome. I use mostly 2.625" nails (or roughly that size). Sometimes use 3" nails. Gun drives them in just fine. On the hardest wood, it won't drive the 3" nail all the way though, but on normal hardness it does. This tool is a huge time saver. I can't do without it.

Nice paperweight
The worst nailer I have ever tried to use! It will not sink nails fully no matter the size or style of nails. It has been to Dewalt service twice and it still won’t fully sink the nails. I bought another paslode I don’t have the time or patience to keep trying something that doesn’t work or service is to incompetent to repair correctly. All of my cordless tool are Dewalt and so too are my saws but I will not recommend this tool to anyone ever!

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
