Very smooth and consistency and shooting nails
Nails shoot smooth without kickback and consistently drive all the way in

Love it
Great purchase, only reason for the 4 star is the fact that every once in awhile a nail doesn't go all the deep enough. Maybe 1 out of 100 so really cant complain. Other than that I love it.

Great Gun But Dewalt needs to make a hard case
I originally bought the 30 degree gun (actually had 2 of them) and they kept jamming. I think the high degree of angle is a problem. Returned it and got this 21 degree gun instead and havent had a single jam. Great tool. BUT!........ DeWalt are you listening? You need to offer a hard case for this gun. Every other DeWalt tool I have lives in a nice hard case and this gun does not fit into a Tstak or tough system case unless I stuff it into the extra deep tough system case with tons of other stuff. Not what I want to do. Give us a hard case for this gun!

Great Gun - EXCEPT...
I currently own both the DCN692M1 & now this DCN21PLM1. The main reason for uprading/replacing is because nails for the DCN692 are hard to procure & moreover, are not "code" in a growing # of municipalities.
The DCN21 is a great gun itself & the only negative, I have observed thus far is the increased weight & especially the size- hence a one star deduction. The product/kit gets another star deduction for DeWalt being sooo cheap, as to not provide a Hard CARRY CASE. I can't even use the case, which did come with the DCN692, because the DCN21 is BIGger & just won't fit- even with modification, which I have done with other tools...

C'm'on, DeWalt... care about your customers to at least give them the option to have hard carry cases (instead of the skimpy soft cases on ALL of our expensive tools/investments, as we don't like them sloshing around, getting banged/scratched-up...

cordless nailer
Finally warmed up so I could try this out.I would not recommend trying to build a complete house with this nailer as it recycles slowly. But for specialty items such as installing rafters or anything up in the air it would work well.Always nice to not have to drag air hoses around while on ladders or scaffolding. It weighs as much or more than air nailers of the same size. All in all it is a nice tool but unless you have a use for it I would not recommend for hobbiests.Contractors I would recommend it

Nice for small jobs
I received the framing nailer and was impressed with it's over all apperience. The one thing I did notice right away was the balance of the unit, even after installing the battery it did improve some. This framing nailer will be a great addition for use in small project areas but for long term use I will stick with my air nailers.

Very nice and versatile
Over had it for a month already and I am very impressed with the two features for energy mode and power mode. Both work as they are said to. Although when it's in energy mode and bump mode, it wont sink 3in nails all the way. Also it's a little bit heavy. If I were to use it as a actual farmer it would fatigue my arm. I have used it to remodel a garage and it is so convenient for climbing thru rafter and so forth with no air hose. Also the rafter hook I think could be reviewed. Seems to always get in the way.
