For small yards it’s practically perfect!
Bought 9 months ago on a whim. It is working so well for our small yard I’m now confident it can replace our gas Honda. Low noise level, ergonomic handle, light weight, one lever height adjustment, bag or mulch, easy storage on end. Even the ~30 min run time is more than enough. We are delighted!

Easy to use- terrible battery life
My husband is a huge dewalt fan. I wanted to purchase a different electric mower with better reviews on battery life. My husband insisted on this one Bc all of our tools match. I couldn’t even finish the front yard with a fully charged set of batteries. Extremely disappointed in the battery life. Otherwise it seems a fine tool so far.

Purchased yesterday, four hours to charge 2
Batteries and the charge did NOT last the front and back yard, not even 25 minutes ... so, another FOUR hours to charge two batteries, one at a time, in the charger provided! Why not provide a charger that charges two batteries in one go? This might be returned by the end of today because for the $$$ spent There is NO time efficiency. Very disappointing because it is nice to use, light and maneuverable. VERY disappointing.

Love the mower..... But not the Battery Life
I read many reviews, so i was not surprised with what I was buying. I have no clue how Dewalt rated this a up to an 1/4 acre or run time, this felt a little misleading on Dewalts part (and I have never said anything bad about DeWalt before now). I have a lot smaller than that and can not finish with one battery. I think the 7.5 amp battery should be standard in the kit for the mower. With that being said I love the way it cuts, the noise level, how easy it is to push, and the way it fold up for storage.

Lasted only 1 Hour
Worked for 1 hour then stopped abruptly. Turns out the belt that drives the blade pulley slipped off because the plastic pulley started to disintegrate. Belt is fine but pulley edge is chewed up and ragged. Part is plastic... should be aluminum.

Love Dewalt - But Not This Thing
I bought the 40V mower today. I thought it would be a good addition to the Dewalt battery powered blower and battery powered trimmer. With 3, 4amp hour batteries and the 6 amp hour battery that comes with the mower I couldn't finish 1/2 of my small, front yard. You'll need 4 to 5 7.5 amp hour batteries with a charger for each to make this useable. So if I spend another $1,100 on batteries I might have a mower I can use. Not happy

Terrible
I have a newer home with a small Denver CO lawn. I had to charge the battery 3 times to finish my lawn. I'm likely to return this item.
