What's a breaker bar?
Zinged off 32mm axel nuts, 19mm harmonic balancer bolts, wicket rusted strut bolts, wicked rusted motor mounts with no problem, and all under 3 seconds with no stripping or snapping. Cant argue with that.
I used a borrowed my friends XR a while back (said he got it when it first came out, and it looked it. DeWalt makes tools to last and knew I wouldn't regret buying one. I didn't even do any research on besides my hands on demo with his. My absolute favorite tool. Zero regrets

Love this thing, I can change my Zero turn mower blades in less than 3-4 minutes! I used to hate doing this chore.

Tons of power!
I bought this as a replacement to my underpowered pneumatic drive and what a world of difference. The torque on this makes taking lugs of a breeze. Forget breaking them loose with a breaker bar and then using your driver. I haven’t run up against anything this tool can’t break loose.

Oh, and did I mention power? I sunk four 10” lag bolts into tree when I was hanging a buck pole and it didn’t even flinch. I am impressed and with this being my first Dewalt tool I won’t hesitste to replace my other Milwaukee and Porter Cable tools to Dewalt as they wear out or even before then.

if you need a man purse.. where is the case
1 star for bad judgment on not including a real case. good quality tool. bought it a week ago. bad judgement on dewalt end to put it in a purse bag what happened dewalt? where did your real hard cases go? cheaping out on the case results in alot of loss in customers ive been a dewalt sole fan but now considering other brands that supply the real cases for their tools

Plenty of power!!
I have no regrets after buying this impact gun. It has plenty of power, just as much or more torque than any air impact gun that I have used.

Can you say TORQUE!!!
This thing is tough! Haven't had a bolt or nut it couldn't handle. Fairly compact for the power output. Great tool! I've used it on lags, lug nuts, crank bolts, heavy equipment. This thing rocks!

BEST ANSWER: No, this impact is not manufactured within the USA
What is the difference betweent his kit and the dcf899m1?
newbie on Nov 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Models with a hog ring will have an "H" in the model number. For example : DCF899HB

Both models mentioned in the question don't have the letter "H" so neither has a hog ring.

The difference between them is the battery capacity as another answer stated.

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
