More than I expected from a cordless tool.
I know it won’t replace my gas saws but it cut more wood than I thought. Great tool

quite impressed
I am shocked with the performance of this saw. It cut through some pine limbs like they were butter. It's considerably quieter than my gas saw and lighter. I haven't used it enough to report on battery life, but so far I am well pleased!

Describe Yourself:
Avid Do-it-Yourselfer
Only thing good is the power
The brushless 60v is powerful. That’s where the positives end. There are no teeth to sink into a limb or branch. The plastic chain adjuster will not hold and the plastic locking but for the bar stripped. I have many Stihl saws and thought this would be fun to cut small stuff quickly but the chain comes
Loose or won’t tighten up and it’s useless. The Milwaukee 18v saw has better teeth and metal bar nuts. Everything I own is dewalt and this product has me wanting to switch

“Gas like power” is no joke!
No matter how many reviews I read, I didn’t quite believe the power this saw would have until I used it. It’s a beast! To be honest, it’s a bit overkill for average homeowner use (I’m not someone who burns wood for heat, etc.) but after trying another brand’s battery saws and returning them in disappointment, I figured more power than I need is better than not enough. I don’t need to do a whole lot of pruning on my property, but I do 2 days or so yearly, and I have had 2 large trees fall unexpectedly. Both of those times I had a small gas powered saw and since I used it so rarely, it would be very difficult to start and was more trouble than it was worth. It’s great to know that if that happens again I can just plug in a battery and go, and the saw can handle it, unlike 18v models I tried. The day I got it I did all of my pruning done, plus cutting up a 10 foot tree trunk 13” diameter into 16” lengths and only used about half of a 9.0/3.0 battery. The real test was the other day I cut up an old telephone pole, 7 feet long and 16-18” diameter into 12” lengths so I could move it. This is very dense treated wood, it did use almost the whole battery but the saw never slowed down! The only improvement I could suggest is better dogs. The ribbed plastic on the saw doesn’t do much to serve the purpose and some metal ones would be great. I’d love to see an add on offered for those of us who already have the current model. I’d recommend this saw to anyone.

Surprisingly good saw
My chain saws sit for months until I need one for something unexpected. With today’s gas saws that sit can be unreliable, this saw does the job every time. If you heat with wood it might not be your first choice, but for homeowner cleanup I’m sold. I’ve cut large maple and oak without problems and this has become my go to saw.

More power and stamina than you would think.
I got this chainsaw about a year ago, the power is surprising. The battery life is surprising. I really love it. Oh, it’s crazy how quiet you can be while cutting down a tree/ I always joke, I could cut down a tree at midnight and not wake the neighbors. I highly recommend this chainsaw.

Easy to use over gas powered chain saw
I bought this about two months ago and have gotten 5 pickup loads of wood. Each time it takes about 2 1/2 to 3 batteries per pickup load. Wasn't expecting it to last that long on a battery. Was able to cut through wood 10" -12" in dia with ease most wood about 6" diameter avg. I got so tired of my shoulder hurting after cutting wood with gas powered chain saw and even made one trip and could not get it started. Tightening chain does not need a wrench and just unlock one lever and turn and tighten with another. I feel this outperformed my gas powered chain saw which I really didn't believe it would come close. I was very skeptical when I bought it thinking it would fly through the batteries and not have enough power. I was shocked at how well it did. I definitely recommend!! Batteries a little pricey but well worth it. No chains or extra bars available at the moment which is kind of shocking.
