Great compressor. I keep in in my truck at all times
Powerful and quite light. It is well built. I might be willing to sacrifice build quality for a little less weight. Very portable and I keep it in my truck at all times.

Great but not durable !
I have a dewalt Cordless compressor that I purchased 5 months ago , I recently used it for 1 week straight and it no longer turns on ! Great while it lasted but not I have to waste more money and getting it fixed !

Great Compressor
I have been using this compressor for over six months and the experience has been great. As soon as I take it from my truck I turn it on and by the time I am in the job site it is ready to go. It is light, compact, versatile and well built. This is definitely my favorite compressor from all I have ever used.

Not just for carpenters!
Bought this on a whim when it first came out. It rides in my van and I have used it a couple of times for my pin nailer an it works great. I’ll admit it’s on the loud side. No worse than an older pancake we all have. This compressor really needs to be marketed for mechanics. Stick with me. My wife calls from work and has a flat. I grab my plug kit, plug the tire and use my flexvolt compressor to inflate the tire. Out in the middle of a parking lot. I’ve also used it for blowing up my tractor tires when I’m on a job and an outlet is just too far away. It’s a bit expensive for blowing up tires but when there’s no power around it’s a lifesaver. I wouldn’t use it all day at a customers house but in an emergency you can’t beat it’s portability. It’s a great all around tool. Would purchase again in a heartbeat.

Hopefully The Next Time...
Hopefully, DeWalt will get it right on the next iteration. I was awaiting this to debut & so when it was finally released, I had to rush & buy it- despite some of the negative reviews. The three BIGGEST improvements would be:

1 Augment the tank to 3 or 3.5 gallons, so the unit would cycle less.
2) Increase the motor HP output to provide a minimum of 1.75 SCFM.
3) Add 120v AC power, whereby it could also charge a battery (eg. DCR025).

Convenient but not Great
I read and watched a few reviews before buying this unit. but none of the ones I read mentioned it did not have enough power to sink 2" (18 ga. trim nails all the way in on composite trim. If I wanted to use a nail set, I might as well just use a hammer from the start.
The compressor doesl provide enough power to sink 1 1/2" (18 ga.) nails just

i own a very small landscaping company. i have a couple old zero turn , that have slow leaks in the tires . this unit replaced a air inflator that i had to hook up to the battery in my truck to use. i like the convenience of the cordless. i can also use it for my atv , and mountain bike. i also occasionally do home improvement , and this lil beauty will get the job done . the dewalt builds up pressure fast and is way quieter than my electric porter and cable pancake . the dewalt is powerful enough to replace my 2hp / 6 gallon pancake. i also enjoy the dewalt trimmers and blowers.

Love the idea of cordless
In my line of work cordless is a great option as a subcontractor for 15 years when I get into residential homes noise and comfort to the client is a big issue and the reviews that I saw online this compressor is LOUD. I feel TOO LOID. if they could do something about the noise level this compressor would be a homerun
