One time wonder
This battery came with a new weed eater unit. Worked one time. The charger says it is fully charged. Only one light on the battery and only works for 10 seconds. I have tried my other chargers with the same result. I can not find online the proper warranty replacement information and will have to wait for customer service to open.

It’s like steroids for your cordless tools
Dewalt has really got the battery game figured out. I primarily use Makita but after using some of the new Dewalt tools I can see some changes in my tool arsenal very soon.

This battery is so powerful. Really its a beast. The battery is heavy, has a hard case and is extremely durable. I primarily use this battery on a small 7 1/4’’ Miter saw and its a night and day difference from the 4.0ah battery it came with. I can use the saw a few days on this battery. I also love how it has the power meter, I know this is mostly standard nowadays however I still really, really like knowing how much power is left on my tools.
Now what sets this line of tools with these batteries apart if the flex volt tech. These batteries are very smart. They know what kind of tool their plugged into and how much voltage to put out, that in itself is awesome.
I have also read reviews that people have had issues with batteries dying in the first year. People these have a 3 year warranty. Call Dewalt or take them to a service center and they will take care of you. All quality tools have quality customer service.

The bottom line is these big batteries are powerful, well built and essential if your tool arsenal is Dewalt. I will be purchasing more of these along with some more Dewalt cordless tools in the near future!

We got 8 if these 60 volt 9/ah batteries and after one week and one charge one will not charge back up. Only reason for the 3 star rating.

Way to expensive for a poor fitting case
I have 4 of these and it is PAINFUL to snap them in ALL my DeWalt Tools. Totally sucks. I wish I never spent the money, and I need them because ALL my tools are Dewalt, and I am a carpenter by trade.

If you use your flex volt tools a lot these are the way to go. They add some weight vs the 6 amp hour batteries but it’s worth the runtime. Some tools feel better balanced with the 6 amp and some with the 9 amp which is something to consider as well. If you put four of these on the dcb1800 you will get a max runtime of 720 watt hours. At least until they come out with the 12 amp hour version.
