Have 3; One was replaced
I have 3 of these and the one that had the 2016 date code quit charging. Did not have the receipt but Dewalt replaced it anyway. Most (but not all of the 20v chargers are recommended to use to charge this battery I wonder about when someone else used my battery if they tried to charge it on a non-recommended 20v charger. From past experience I know the 18v Lithium Ion Dewalt batteries would be damaged if you used them in the wrong 18v charger.

I have used these flexvolt batteries in the Dewalt Flexvolt air compressor and the Dewalt 1800watt inverter generator (which is where I usually charge all my flexvolt batteries). I bought a Flexvolt 7-1/4" circular saw last December (2017; it was on sale with a free 20v jig saw) but have not used it yet as my 20v saw still does what I need.

Great, while it lasted...
I have a flexvolt from 2016 that no longer charges and I have four 3ah batteries dating back to 2011 and work perfectly still. They made flexvolt not to last as long the older ones to sell more. You’ve been warned!

Great Service
I have several of these batteries, when one failed to charge I contacted customer service. I had lost the receipt of course, but they informed me I had 3 years from the date stamped on the battery. I dropped it in a box and shipped it in, less than a week later I had a new battery in the mail. Overall a very pleasant experience, and as far as performance goes these batteries have loads of power. I'm pretty much throwing all my corded tools away.

Can this battery be charged with a 20 volt charger ?
A shopper on Dec 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Takes a little longer than a 20v, but the longer run time is well worth the extra wait.
This new 20 v lithium battery can be use on 18 v dewalt cordless power tools? And voltage wise won't harm the 18 v tool since it is 2 volt over?
Cris on Jun 22, 2016

David on Jun 24, 2016

Will these new 20V/60V Flexvolt batteries work in the Dewalt DCCS690 chain saw?
toolnut on Aug 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: According to Dewalt, The new FLexvolt are only compatible with 20v.
if this battery is 6.0AH in 20 volt, doesn't the simple math regarding voltage and amp hour calculations mean that in 60 volt it is a 2.0AH battery? won't that be a real short run time?
Jacki on Jun 29, 2016
It is 20V6Ah or 60V2Ah. A 120Wh battery. This is why it can still fit in your hand!
The labeling is slightly misleading since the 60V is right next to the 6Ah.
